We’ve tested the Surplus Canadian MK 3 Combat Boots extensively while hiking with fully loaded bug out bags. They’re extremely heavy duty, all-season boots made to withstand the elements.
These boots could last a lifetime. They feature all leather construction inside and out, fiberglass toe caps, heavy duty rubber soles and a closed tongue design to help keep out moisture and brush.
These used boots generally come in good to excellent condition in all sizes. Some boots may have names marked inside the boot. Some have small holes punched in the upper tongue to prevent them being returned to Government sellers. Some may need new insoles. We feel the high quality and affordable pricing more than make up for the less-than-new condition.
If you want to waterproof these boots we recommend adding a few coats of waterproofing wax, but too much makes them heavy so don’t overdo it.
Important Sizing Note
We always recommend choosing 2 sizes larger to accommodate 3 pairs heavy wool socks for winter seasons. Layering socks is common practice in the military that also helps prevent blisters. During spring, summer, and autumn seasons we recommend adding heavy felt insoles with 1 pair heavy wool socks.
